MONGOLIAN-STYLE SILVER AND JADE JUG, China, late 19th/early 20th century

From the pear-shaped body on each side is applied a jade medallion representing a qilong; the spout of the jug emerges from the mouth of a Mazara and on the opposite side the handle is shaped like a beast. The lid attached to the jug culminates in a jade carved in the shape of a duck; the object is decorated with coral and turquoise.
