Lantern-shaped, they are beautifully painted on a yellow background with five-clawed dragons flying through the clouds; the neck is decorated with a turquoise-painted floral motif band. The centre of the base bears the apocryphal four-character square-printed mark of the Qianlong Emperor in red.
