A PALE CELADON JADE CARVING OF A CRANE, China, Qianlong period (1736-1795)

The crane is depicted in a recumbent nestled pose with its head turned over its body grasping a leafy branch of peaches in its beak. 

It’s feet tightly tucked beneath its body. 

Together with a fitted wood stand in pierced open work.
