A RARE YANGCAI PORCELAIN PALACE LAMP PROBABLY IMPERIAL, China, Qing dynasty, Qianlong (1735-1796) period

Composed of two hexagonal pieces joined by three chains, it is finely painted in famille rose tones with yangcai enamels. On the outside of the hat it is decorated with various types of flowers and fruits, while on the inside it has eleven iron-red and gold bats flying between sinuous polychrome clouds, in the centre it bears a golden swastika; the base is painted on each side with lotus flowers between scrolls of leaves under a band of iron-red bats under a greek fret; on the base it has the same decoration as the hat with various flowers; on the inside on the rim there is a band of ruyi and in the centre it has porcelain lamp stands. Height mounted 45.5 cm.
