A FAMILLE ROSE BOTTLE-SHAPED VASE, China, Republic Period (1912-1949)

Shaped to stand on a raised foot, with a globular body and a long neck with flared rim, it is decorated on a yellow background with lotus scrolls and Buddhist auspicious symbols, on the body it has three reserves containing characters; in the centre of the turquoise base it bears the apocryphal six-character seal mark in iron red of the Qianlong Emperor. It comes with the wooden stand.
