A PAIR OF BLUE AND WHITE DISHES, China, Kangxi period (1661-1722)

Decorated in underglaze blue, they feature a hunting scene in the centre and floral motifs on the rim, the back is decorated with flowers on the edge.. In the centre of the base they bear the six-character apocryphal mark in underglaze blue of the Chenghua Emperor within a double circle.
