With a powerful tapered form and a raised rim, the sides feature two lion head handles holding rings in their mouths. One is finely painted with an open scene covering the entire body, depicting men and attendants in a garden with rocks and various types of plants, engaging in activities such as playing go, conversing, and horseback riding. The other is painted with phoenixes, birds, flowers, and rocks. The bases have a drainage hole and rest on their 19th-century European gilded wooden stands.
