A JADEITE TRIPOD CENSER, China, late 19th / early 20th century

Well carved and pierced, it stands on three legs emerging from the mouths of beast heads and features kirin-shaped handles on the sides; the body is decorated with phoenixes, and the lid depicts two dragons playing with a pearl.
