A BRONZE FIGURE OF TARA, Nepal, 19th / 20th century

Seated in lalitasana on a double lotus base, with her right foot resting on a lotus flower; her right hand in varada mudra and her left in vitarka mudra. She wears a dhoti adorned with floral motifs, and her serene and harmonious face is crowned with a five-leaf tiara, through which an intricate coiffure can be seen.
