The exterior surface is decorated with a band of characters in seal script, set above fine raised blue bands. Below, two pairs of
qilong are depicted among leafy scrolls. The interior is enamelled in turquoise, as is the base, which bears a six-character iron-red square seal mark of the Daoguang Emperor.
