A RARE FAMILLE ROSE ENAMEL ON COPPER DISH, China, Qing dynasty, Yongzheng period (1723-1735)

Magnificently painted at the center with a lobed reserve enclosing floral motifs, peaches, and butterflies. The upper section of the rim is decorated with a grisaille band with scroll of leaves, while the lower section features bats alternating with lotus flowers against a yellow background adorned with leafy patterns. On the reverse, the border bears floral motifs with flowers and peaches, while the center depicts a dragon among clouds, enclosed within a medallion framed by ruyi scroll.
