Finely painted on the body and lid with a continuous naturalistic landscape featuring pheasants, flowers, rocks, and butterflies; around the neck and lid is a band decorated with cartouches of Taoist symbols, and the lid is topped with a flower-shaped finial. Both the base and neck are mounted in bronze.
