Veneered in walnut briar, inlaid and banded in maple wood with ebonized moldings, in the style of this type of furniture; a four-drawer base with serpentine front; the upper section with two doors fitted with panels inlaid with foliate scrolls, surmounted by a broken-pediment cornice; the fall-front with walnut-briar writing surface; the interior fitted with six drawers with serpentine fronts; the drawer handles in cast bronze, original to the period.
