A BRONZE ALTAR WITH FOUR JAIN FIGURES, India, late 17th/early 18th century

The work is conceived as a small quadrangular shrine-like temple structure surmounted by a stepped roof with a pointed finial, housing four standing Jfigures, arranged according to the four cardinal directions. The base bears a votive inscription engraved in Devanāgarī characters.
