A FAMILLE VERTE PORCELAIN BALUSTER-SHAPED VASE, China, late 19th century/early 20th century

The body is finely painted in a continuous scene with figures of Luohan and Taoist deities. The neck and base are decorated in underglaze blue with floral motifs and reserved panels containing inscribed cartouches. The interior of the neck features four circular reserves with characters. The base bears a six-character overglaze blue and gilt apocryphal reign mark of the Kangxi Emperor, enclosed within an artemisia leaf.
