A PAIR OF LARGE BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN PLATES, China, Qing dynasty, Kangxi period (1661-1722)

Decorated at the centre with a medallion containing a lotus flower, surrounded by petal-shaped reserves enclosing floral motifs; the exterior is decorated with three stylised branches. The centre of the base bears a Buddhist emblem mark in underglaze blue within a double circle.
