Of square section, the lower register is enameled with a continuous scene depicting a tree-filled courtyard animated by numerous figures of sages, attendants, and court ladies. The scene is surmounted by lions playing with brocade balls among stylized clouds reserved on a yellow ground; the upper section is articulated with key-fret motifs framing and supporting a decorative band of cranes among clouds, above which figures of sages and deities are depicted.
