A SET OF THREE JADEITE VASES, China, late 19th/early 20th century

A pair of archaistic form decorated with taotie masks supported by two mythical animals; one lidded vessel is finely decorated with dragon-head handles beneath which are two phoenixes, with deer heads projecting at the centre and a body carved with taotie masks; the cover is embellished with qilin and lions, and it rests on a pierced wooden stand.
