The cabinet features a staggered shelving configuration (chigai-dana), with compartments fitted with hinged doors, sliding panels, and drawers. The shibayama decoration, in mother-of-pearl and ivory, depicts floral motifs, cranes, and figures of warriors.
The entire structure rests on a shaped base with a curvilinear apron, supported by scrolled feet.
