A TURQUOISE-GLAZED LOBED MOONFLASK, China, Qing dynasty, 18th century

The flattened body of oval section is moulded with eight vertical lobes extending from the waisted foot to the raised rim of the mouth; on the sides of the neck are two scroll handles. It is entirely covered, inside and out, with a finely crackled translucent glaze of turquoise-blue tone, while the base is left in the biscuit.
