His Master’s Voice Statue - Nipper. Nipper (Bristol, 1884 – Kingston upon Thames, 1895) was a Jack Russell Terrier who became famous for being depicted in Francis Barraud’s painting *His Master’s Voice*. *His Master’s Voice* is a brand of records, gramophones, and radios. The logo features a small dog who actually existed. Because of his habit of nipping at the fingertips of unwary customers, the dog was nicknamed “Nipper” (pincer).
