A VERMEIL SILVER CUTLERY SET IN A FITTED CASE, France, 19th century

A set of gilded silver cutlery, comprising spoons, forks and knives, with contoured handles decorated in relief with floral motifs, scrolls and fluting. Preserved in its original wooden case, with a red velvet-lined interior and a removable tray. A metal plaque is affixed to the lid, engraved with a coat of arms surmounted by a noble crown and surrounded by knightly insignia.
