☼DEVOTIONAL CORAL PENDANT, Trapani, 17th century

Octagonal in shape, with an openwork gilded metal frame, adorned with scrolls and small coral flowers. The inner frame, embellished with white enamel and coral cabochons, encloses a relief composition depicting a Magdalen with the skull, in draped robes, surrounded by cherubs, floral motifs and scrolls.
