A FAMILLE ROSE PORCELAIN JARDINIERE MARKED JING YUAN TANG ZHI, China, Republic period (1912-1949)

Of rectangular section, it is finely painted on each face with a flowering peach branch and peonies; the base has two drainage holes and, at the center, bears a four-character iron-red mark, Jing Yuan Tang Zhi (靜遠堂製), meaning “Made for the Hall of Tranquillity and Remoteness.” It is rest on its wooden stand.
