On the occasion of its upcoming Fine Asian Art sale, Marcopolo Auctions presents a prestigious selection of works from important Italian and European private collections, offering a journey through the refinement and extraordinary diversity of Asian art.
Particular emphasis is placed on Chinese art, the focal point of the catalogue, featuring a significant collection of Imperial porcelains and other fine ceramics, alongside exquisite jade and jadeite carvings, coral, ivory, and bronze sculptures, as well as a selection of Chinese furniture of considerable historical, artistic, and collecting interest.
The catalogue also includes cloisonné enamels, scholar’s objects, paintings, ritual works, and decorative pieces that testify to the technical excellence and aesthetic sophistication developed over centuries within the major artistic traditions of the Far East.
The sale is aimed at collectors, scholars, and enthusiasts alike, offering carefully selected works distinguished by their quality, provenance, and historical significance, and representing some of the finest achievements of Asian artistic production.
The exhibition will be held from 18th to 21st June at the premises of Marcopolo Auctions, located at Via Carlo Poerio 43 (corner of Via Nino Bixio, front 21).
The auction on June 23rd will take place at the Worldhotel Cristoforo Colombo, Corso Buenos Aires 3, Milan.
